LEGOLAND Florida is looking for expert LEGO modellers to take on the job of Master Model Builder, a key role at the year-old theme park.

As the job title suggests, the Master Model Builder will be responsible for designing and building many of the large-scale LEGO structures that are used to decorate the park. They will also act as a media figurehead, performing regular interviews with television, newspapers and online outlets.

In addition to physically building models for up to 8 hours a day, the successful applicant will also be tasked with conducting regular inspections of LEGOLAND Florida's existing models. They will even have to decide how many LEGO bricks the park orders in order to create and maintain its collection.

Describing the role, LEGOLAND Florida's General Manager Adrian Jones said: "Master Model Builders are royalty here at the park. In all seriousness, this is the most important job at the park,” said Jones. “Our builders typically have a life-long love of LEGO, are wildly imaginative, extraordinarily detailed and focused and just love what they do. If you have a passion for play, we encourage you to apply.”

LEGO fans with experience in the model making or craft field can find details of how to apply for the Master Model Builder role on the LEGOLAND Florida website.
