Zombie Invasion to strike Dorney Park for second time on September 14, 2012

Hordes of the undead are set to descend upon Dorney Park as the park kicks off its Halloween celebrations.

Dorney Park is set to be invaded by zombies for the second year in a row, with the park due to host Zombie Invasion II on September 14, 2012.

As with last year's event, guests will be invited to attend the park in zombie costumes. They will also have the opportunity to made-up by a professional artist, ensuring the maximum possible gruesome undead effect. Those who wish to can also dress as other ghouls, such as vampires, mummies and werewolves.

Tickets for the event will be priced at $25, with season passholders able to bring up to 4 friends for $14.99 each. The event will coincide with the season passholder preview weekend of Dorney Park's Halloween Haunt events, and the park promises that visitors will be able to preview some of what the Haunt will have to offer.

Zombie takeover events have become increasingly popular in recent years, with Six Flags Great Adventure having recently hosted its own version.
