Latest image of Disney California Adventure's Cars Land shows off "Route 66"

Disney has released the latest in a series of images of the Cars Land expansion at Disney California Adventure, which is due to open on June 15, 2012.
The most recent image, embedded below, shows Cars characters Lightning McQueen and Mater on the recreation of Route 66 that will run through Cars Land. A number of elements of the new area can be seen in the background, including the entrance to the Luigi's Flying Tires attraction, the Cadillac Mountain Range, and Ramone's House of Body Art.
The Route 66 area will form the core of Cars Land, with all of the area's attractions, restaurants and retail outlets being accessible from it. It is designed to evoke the look-and-feel of the real-world "Mother Road", as well as recreating the fictional town of Radiator Springs as seen in the Cars movies.
Fans will be able to meet Mater and Lightning McQueen at Cars Land's Cozy Cone Motel following the debut of the new area on June 16. Further images of the two characters will be posted to the Disney Parks Blog during the coming days.
The Disneyland Resort has raised some ticket prices by as much as 30 percent in anticipation of Cars Land's debut. The completion of the expansion marks the end of a $1.1 billion series of upgrades to Disney California Adventure, and is expected to draw large crowds to Disneyland's sister park.
