Disneyland Paris lists Captain EO as "undergoing refurbishment" ahead of rumoured closure

Disneyland Paris has listed its Captain EO attraction as undergoing a perpetual refurbishment, amid rumours that the 4-D movie will close for good on April 2, 2012.
The calendar on the Disneyland Paris website now lists Captain EO as being due to "close temporarily" from April 2 - May 31. This leaves open the possibility that the attraction could reopen during the busy summer season, although it is believed that Cast Members have already been informed of its permanent closure.
Starring Michael Jackson, Captain EO returned at Disneyland Paris in June 2010 as a tribute to the late pop superstar. It replaced Honey, I Shrunk the Audience - the attraction which displaced Jackson's movie when it first closed in 1998. It is not thought that Honey, I Shrunk the Audience will return in its place, with other versions of the show around the world having been closed for good.
Disneyland Paris does close a number of attractions for extended periods during off-peak seasons. It has now added Armageddon: Les Effets Speciaux at Walt Disney Studios to this list, with the special effects show now due to operate from Saturdays to Tuesdays during April and May.
