The full trailer for Universal Studios Hollywood's Transformers: The Ride - 3D that aired during the Super Bowl has been posted online.
The trailer, embedded below, is designed to build anticipation for the new ride, which will open in May 2012. It features Transformers hero Optimus Prime delivering a warning message to viewers, and pointing them towards the Prepare for Battle teaser website. It will have been seen by a huge audience during the big game on February 5.
Transformers: The Ride - 3D will retain the look-and-feel of the Transformers movie trilogy. A version of the attraction has already opened at Universal Studios Singapore, with the Hollywood installation expected to be largely identical.
The ride will reuse technology from the Amazing Adventures of Spiderman attraction at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure, combining 3D animation, animatronics and flight-simulator elements. It will replace the closed Backdraft and Special Effects Soundstages attractions in the Universal Studios Hollywood's Lower Lot, with construction having begun in Fall 2009.
