Planning Applications submitted for Alton Towers' Black Hole

Newly-filed documents may mean changes for the land on which the Alton Towers' Black Hole once resided.
The massive tent that formerly housed Alton Tower’s Black Hole roller coaster last saw life (or death) as the home of the Boiler House haunted attraction during the park’s 2011 Scarefest. Now, new documents have been submitted to the Staffordshire Moorlands Council Planning Portal
Little detail can be uncovered surrounding the documents, but there two have been filed: the first is a Conservation Area Consent application, which would theoretically signify the removal of the tent structure. The second is a full planning application that would likely be related to a ride or attraction meant to replace the tent structure.
It is still unknown whether or not the applications are related to a potential 2013 addition to the park.
The Black Hole was located in the park’s X-Sector near Oblivion.
