The newly-opened LEGOLAND Florida theme park is preparing for its first holiday season, when it plans to host a series of "Christmas Bricktacular" events.
The celebrations will run from December 8-31, 2011, and will see the park adorned with a range of Christmas decorations. This will include a 30-foot-tall LEGO Christmas tree located in The Beginning area, which will be made with a total of 270,000 forest green LEGO and DUPLO bricks. A special tree lighting ceremony will be held on December 5, and repeated every night during the Christmas Bricktacular events.
In addition, Santa Claus will greet children in the botanical gardens area of LEGOLAND Florida throughout the holiday season. The Christmas Bricktacular celebrations will be included with the price of regular park admission.
LEGOLAND Florida regularly remains closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. During the Christmas Bricktacular period, this is set to include December 13 and 14.
