Skyline Park in Germany has announced that it is to buy Blackpool Pleasure Beach's Bling ride, and will install it in time for the 2012 season.

Airgates spotted the park's announcement, made via its official Facebook page. Skyline Park will rename Bling as Sky Jet, and the ride is set to be dismantled and removed from Blackpool Pleasure Beach during the coming weeks.

The sale of Bling was not unexpected, with Blackpool Pleasure Beach having listed it for sale in German amusement industry magazine Kirmes & Park Revue in October. Prior to that, it had been rumored for some time that the park was looking to offload the ride, with previous sale agreements believed to have fallen through.

A StarShape flat ride manufactured by Zierer, Bling first opened at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in 2004. It was the second of only three versions of the ride in operation in the world, with the other two both being travelling fairground attractions. A video of Bling in action can be seen below:

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has yet to confirm whether it will replace Bling with a new attraction, or if it will seek to put the ride's location to another use.
