A new video has been released that shows off the creation of the gingerbread house that traditionally features in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the first Haunted Mansion Holiday, which sees the popular attraction made over for both Christmas and Halloween. The gingerbread house acts as a centerpiece in the ballroom scene, and transforms from an appealing confectionary construction into a six-feet-tall monster.
Disney Cast Members from Operations, Engineering, Creative Development and Food and Beverage are involved in the construction of the house, which is made up of 500 pounds of gingerbread. Their creation will be on display throughout the Halloween and Christmas periods. The Haunted Mansion was closed between August 29 and September 15 to allow 2011's version to be installed.
