Video: Green Lantern Coaster to open at Warner Bros. Movie World in December 2011

Warner Bros. Movie World will become the third park to open a rollercoaster based on Green Lantern.
Warner Bros. Movie World on the Australian Gold Coast has confirmed that it will open a new rollercoaster themed around the Green Lantern movie in December 2011.
The new ride will be an S&S El Loco model, similar to Mumbo Jumbo at Flamingo Land in the UK. It will feature the steepest drop in of any rollercoaster in the southern hemisphere, and will be constructed at a cost of $10 million. Movie World hopes that the ride will open on Boxing Day (December 26), in time for the Christmas school holidays.
A video simulation of the ride released by the park shows that unlike other S&S El Loco coasters, Green Lantern Coaster will feature cars that seat four riders across.
Green Lantern Coaster will be third rollercoaster in the world to be based on the 2011 movie starring Ryan Gosling and the comic books that preceded it. Earlier this year, Six Flags Magic Mountain opened an Intamic Zacspin dubbed Green Lantern: First Flight, while Six Flags Great Adventure debuted a rethemed stand-up rollercoaster known simply as Green Lantern.
