Wilderness Explorer game undergoes testing at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Disney's Animal Kingdom entrance
Disney's Animal Kingdom is the latest Walt Disney World park to host an interactive game.

A new interactive game based on the Wilderness Explorer organisation seen in Pixar's Up movie is currently undergoing testing at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Da Mouse reports that the game is likely to be rolled out further if the testing proves a success. It sees players provided with a binoculars, a guide and a folder and challenged earn a range of Wilderness Explorer badges by visiting various locations around the park.

Walt Disney World recently announced another interactive game, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, which will see guests defending the Magic Kingdom from an army of Disney villains.

The new addition is similar in concept to the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure at Epcot, which takes the form of an electronic scavenger hunt. Launched in January 2009, the experience at Epcot sees guests using "Kimmunicator" devices which can be used to trigger events in the grounds of the World Showcase pavilions.
