Walt Disney World has confirmed that the Main Street Electrical Parade will continue its run at the Magic Kingdom beyond its originally scheduled end date of August 14.
The extension of the parade's run at the park was confirmed by the Disney Parks Blog, which claims that the decision is down to strong demand from guests. There is now no set end date for the parade, with its stay set to be "open-ended".
The Main Street Electrical Parade returned to the Magic Kingdom on June 6, following an extended run at Disney's California Adventure. It was set to leave Walt Disney World at the end of the resort's "Summer Nightastic!" celebrations, but will now remain in place.
Prior to its return, the parade had not been seen at the Magic Kingdom since 2001. The latest version features several new floats, featuring Tinker Bell, Pinocchio and Snow White. New LED lights and audio technology complete the upgrades to one of Disney's most popular parades.
