Alton Towers confirms Early Ride Time attractions for 2010 season

Hotel guests and annual passholders can enjoy Nemesis an hour before the general public at Alton Towers in 2010.

Alton Towers has confirmed the line-up of attractions that will be open during its Early Ride Time hour during the 2010 season.

Early Ride Time operates during the park's summer season, which falls between March 20 and October 15 this year. On those days, qualifying guests can enter the park at 9am - an hour before its official opening time. To be eligible for Early Ride Time, guests must either pre-book their tickets through the Alton Towers website, hold an Alton Towers or Merlin Annual Pass, or stay at one of the resort's hotels.

A select number of rides operate during Early Ride Time. This year, those rides will be:

• Oblivion
• Nemesis
• Marauder's Mayhem
• Heave Ho!
• Runaway Mine Train
• Hex
• Sharkbait Reef by SEA LIFE

Towers Times points out that the total number of attractions opening during Early Ride Time is lower than it in 2009. Fan favorite Nemesis returns having been omitted last year, however Rita, Battle Galleons, Enterprise and Duel are all removed from the list. New rollercoaster Thirteen is notably absent, although that is unsurprising for a new attraction which is likely to be extremely crowded and potentially suffer reliability issues during its first season.
