Winter refurbishments underway at Universal parks

Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood have begun off-season refurbishments of some of their key attractions.

At Universal Studios Orlando, Disaster! is likely to be out of action until early April. According to a report on Screamscape, the train which features at the end of ride has been removed for a complete renovation. A closing date for Dueling Dragons, which is due to be re-themed in time for the Spring opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, has yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, at Universal Studios Hollywood, Jurassic Park River Adventure is due to close down for its annual renovation on January 11. According to the park's website, the attraction will reopen on February 6.
