Tiana's Showboat Jubilee, the show based on Disney's Princess and the Frog movie, has ended its run at the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland.
Sunday was the last day to see the show at both parks, although there are rumors that the show may return at the Magic Kingdom some stage in the future. It may also make its way to Disneyland Paris in time for the movie's European release at the end of January.
The show was launched at the Magic Kingdom back in October, quickly followed by Disneyland in early November. It was designed to promote the December 11 release of the animated movie and has therefore served its initial marketing purpose.
The shows presented at the two parks differently in several key aspects. The Magic Kingdom's featured a pre-recorded soundtrack, with Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen and other characters from the movie parading through Frontierland before boarding the Liberty Square Riverboat. Pre-selected guests from the audience took part in the final section as the boat sailed around Frontierland towards Splash Mountain before the show ended with a burst of fireworks.
Disneyland's version featured live singers, and began with a Mardi Gras-style jazz procession around New Orleans Square. It then continued onto the Mark Twain Riverboat.
