Splash Battle rides coming to Silver Dollar City and Europa Park

Silver Dollar City and Europa Park have both announced the addition of Splash Battle rides for the 2010 season.

Silver Dollar City, an 1880s-themed park in Missouri, revealed the opening of Tom & Huck's River Blast on their website. Meanwhile, Europa Park in Germany is set to add a Splash Battle attraction themed around whale watching as part of its Iceland area.

Splash Battles involve guests riding in boats armed with water cannons, which can be fired at other boats. Typically, they also include cannons at the edge of the water, allowing guests on the shore to join in the water fight. They have proven immensely popular over the last few years, with dozens of similar attractions opening at parks such as Legoland California and Alton Towers.
