Universal Studios Orlando has announced that a new Scarezone will be added to its Halloween Horror Nights event this week.

The new Scarezone will be located in the New York Alley area towards the rear of the park, and will open from Thursday, October 29. It is being used to test out elements that could feature in next year's Halloween Horror Nights, which will mark the event's 20th anniversary.

After exiting the Scarezone - of which few details have been revealed - guests will be asked to respond to questionaires on the experience to establish what worked and what didn't. Universal will also be asking guests to speak on camera about their favorite experiences from past Halloween Horror Nights events.

This year's event is entirely devoted to Universal's horror films, and features attractions and shows designed to bring them to life. Full details of the featured Scarezones and Haunted Houses can be found here.

Halloween Horror Nights finishes for this year on October 31.
