Tokyo DisneySea to replace BraviSEAmo with Fantasmic

Tokyo DisneySea is to replace its BraviSEAmo show with a version of Fantasmic, the popular show from Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Tokyo's version of Fantasmic is likely to differ from the Fantasmic shows in the US, which themselves have slight differences due to the locations in which they are presented. It is to show for the first time in 2012.

Fantasmic stars Mickey Mouse and a cast of 50 other costumed performers, and is a dazzling combination of water, laser and pyrotechnic effects. The Disneyland version of the show recently added a spectacular fire-breathing dragon, but there is no word on whether this will make it into the Tokyo DisneySea version.

The park's existing headline show, BraviSEAmo, is presented in its Mediterranean Harbor area. Like Fantasmic, it is a night-time show and features fountains, pyrotechnic effects and fireworks.
