Big Bad Wolf closes today at Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Submitted by Nick Sim on Monday, September 7, 2009 17:27Riders will experience the Big Bad Wolf rollercoaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg for the last time today, September 7.
The ride is closing after 25 years despite a campaign by fans to save it. Busch Gardens has auctioned off the seats on the last ever ride to the highest bidders, but has assured Screamscape that anyone in line for the Big Bad Wolf at closing time (7pm) will still be able to ride.
A suspended rollercoaster designed by Arrow Dynamics, the Big Bad Wolf opened in 1985 and is highly regarded by many rollercoaster enthusiasts. It is located in the Oktoberfest section of the park, and will be dismantled following its closure.
Busch Gardens has not yet announced its plans for the area occupied by the Big Bad Wolf after the ride's removal.
