Big Bad Wolf to close at Busch Gardens Williamsburg on September 7
Submitted by Nick Sim on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 17:19There are only five days remaining for coaster fans to experience the Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
The ride is closing after 25 years despite a campaign by fans to save it. Busch Gardens is auctioning off seats on the last ever ride to the highest bidders, with the auction closing at 3pm EST on September 4.
However, the park has assured Screamscape that anyone in line for the Big Bad Wolf at closing time (7pm) on September 7 will still be able to ride.
A suspended rollercoaster designed by Arrow Dynamics, the Big Bad Wolf opened in 1985 and is highly regarded by many rollercoaster enthusiasts. It is located in the Oktoberfest section of the park, and will be dismantled following its closure.
Busch Gardens has not yet announced its plans for the area occupied by the Big Bad Wolf after the ride's removal.
