Opening date confirmed for Sesame Street at Busch Gardens Europe

Busch Gardens Europe has confirmed that the new Sesame Street Forest of Fun will open on April 3.

The new area at the park in Williamsburg, Virginia, is themed around the popular kids TV show. The park had previously confirmed that the media date for the area would fall on April 3, with the full public opening now also taking place on that date.

Targeted at kids, the Sesame Street area is a major expansion of the park and will feature four new rides, as well as shows and play areas. The rides include Prince Elmo's Spire (a shot and drop ride), Grover's Alpine Express (a rollercoaster), Bert and Ernie's Loch Adventure (a log flume) and Oscar's Whirly Worms (a rock-n-tug ride).

The area will also include a new 4D show called "Sesame Street presents Lights, Camera, Imagination!"
