Valleyfair was the second theme park to become part of the Cedar Fair chain, and occupies a 125-acre site in Shakopee, Minnesota. Its line-up features a number of major roller coasters, including the unusual Intamin creation Steel Venom and wooden coaster Renegade. Alongside a range of other thrill rides, the park also offers a selection of childrens' rides, most of which are packed into the Planet Snoopy area. Entry to the Soak City water park is included with park admission.

Park History

Opened in 1976, Valleyfair was acquired by Cedar Fair just two years later. It set about modelling many aspects of the park on Cedar Point, the first park in the chain. In the 20th century, the park expanded its line-up of roller coasters with additions of Steel Venom and Renegade, although the level of investment at the park remains well below that of flagship Cedar Fair properties.
