Key Information
Based on Disney's 1992 animated movie Aladdin, the $22 million Jasmine's Flying Carpets is a clone of the Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. It is similar to the Dumbo the Flying Elephant rides which are located at Disney parks worldwide, with groups of 4 riders seated in 2-row "magic carpets" which circulate around a central tower.
As with Dumbo, riders can control the height of their carpet up to a maximum of 5 meters. The carpets can also be tilted forward and backwards. The vehicles rotate around an array of fountains, with a central feature designed to resemble Aladdin's magic lamp. At night, 15 different color sequences are used to animate the fountains.
