Goliath was moved to Six Flags New England from sister park Six Flags Magic Mountain, where it was known as Déjà Vu. In its new guise, it received all-new trains that can seat four riders across, although its "inverted boomerang" circuit is unchanged - the tallest of its type in the world.

The new train design allowed Six Flags New England to increase the capacity of Goliath, which is a Vekoma Giant Inverted Boomerang roller coaster. The ride sees guests being pulled backwards up a lift hill, plunging through several inversions following the first drop, and then repeating the course in reverse. Only a single train can operate at a time, so the larger number of seats on the new trains enables more guests to ride per hour.

The ride is larger than previous Boomerang designs, and incorporates a 102-feet-tall vertical loop, followed by a 110-feet-tall butterfly turn.
