Opened early in 2012, Magma is a drop tower themed around a "volcano". After queuing through an area occupied by animatronic dinoaurs, guests board a circular gondola. This is carried 82-feet up into the air, spinning as it goes, offering riders views across Paultons Park and beyond. It then freefalls back down into the volcano below.
Magma is located close to the Edge and Cobra rides, in what is fast-becoming a section of the park dedicated solely to thrill rides.
