Key informationOur rating:
Minimum rider height:
Formerly known as Wave Surfer, SQUID Surfer sees guests boarding jet ski-style vehicles, which are attached to one of two central turntables. These rotate around at high speed, throwing up spray as they go. Guests can steer the jet skis, causing them to move closer to or further away from the turntable.
Watching guests are able to set off “water bombs”, adding to the amount of water that is splashed into the air.Review:
There aren’t many other rides like SQUID Surfer in the UK, and it’s an essential experience for adults and slightly older children at LEGOLAND Windsor. The turntables rotate at a surprisingly fast pace, and this is probably the closest many riders will come to experiencing a real jet ski ride.
You may get a little wet, but not to the same extent as you will on Pirates Falls Dynamite Drench or Vikings’ River Splash. Due to the spray thrown up by the jet skis, spectators standing near the nearby Climbing Wall are more at risk.Top Tip:
It takes guests a long time to reach Adventure Land, located the back of LEGOLAND Windsor, so SQUID Surfer is quiet in the mornings. Queues can be upwards of an hour in the afternoon.
