Mission: Space

We're focusing on Walt Disney World's Epcot as our "Park of the Month" for April 2013. The World's Fair-style park sprawls across a huge area, boasting a diverse array of rides, shows and restaurants. With so much to do and see, it can be hard to prioritise - so we've called in an expert to offer some essential tips.

Orlando Attractions Magazine Publisher and Editor Matt Roseboom has more than 20 years of publishing experience, including five years as owner and editor of two weekly newspapers in Southwest Florida (Marco Island Sun Times and Naples Sun Times). While living on Marco Island, he and his family made the three-hour trip to Orlando whenever they could spare the time.

In 2006 an opportunity presented itself and Matt sold the newspaper and moved to Orlando to turn his love of attractions into a business. Matt is also a cruise travel writer and the publisher of Cruise News Weekly.

We're huge fans of Orlando Attractions Magazine, and we're pleased to share Matt's views on the very best that Epcot has to offer.

What would you recommend as being the very best, not-to-be-missed ride/attraction at Epcot, and why?

Soarin'

Don't miss Soarin'. It's unlike any other ride you've ridden and you feel like you're really flying above California. The soundtrack is great and you'll love all the smells.

What you would recommend as being the very best, not-to-be-missed restaurant/food outlet at Epcot, and why?

Germany Pavilion

This is a tough one because there are so many great choices at Epcot, but I suggest the Biergarten Restaurant in the Germany Pavilion. You'll get a great dinner and a great show and you'll feel like you're really in Germany for Octoberfest.

What is your top tip for visitors to Epcot (to save time, save money or not miss out on a hidden gem)?

Visit during either the Food and Wine Festival or the Flower and Garden Festival and be sure to sample the many foods and wines in as many country pavilions as you can.

Look out for further articles and forum discussions about Epcot throughout April.
