Tickets for 2024's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are now available for those looking to get a jump on their fall plans this summer. This year's event will take place over 38 nights from August 9 through October 31, 2024. Ticket prices for 2024 range from $119 - $199, with the lower-priced $109 ticket price no longer available, and more dates costing more than in years past, driving up the average cost of admission. 

Here's the full list of dates for this year's event:

August - 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27 and 30
September - 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27 and 29
October - 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29 and 31

Despite ticket prices continuing to rise, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party continues to be a very popular offering, with every single date last year selling out. 

However, even though demand for this event is still high (at least as of 2023), we can't help but ask ourselves if this event is still worth it. If you're on the fence about this year's event, here are some things to consider:

1. Entertainment is basically the same

Disney has confirmed this year's entertainment lineup for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and it will look very familiar for fans of the event, once again featuring Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show, and the Boo-to-You parade. 

Though a new float was added to the parade last year, as well as an additional dance section, the event is largely the same as it has been for the past 5 years, despite the price continuing to go up. Though it is possible that Disney could announce something new for this year's entertainment lineup in the next three months, it seems unlikely that it would be anything major, and certainly not something that would warrant the ever-increasing cost of attending this event. 

2. Aside from costume changes, don't expect any changes to the character lineup

Characters are a huge part of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and while this year will see the party debut of Bruno from Encanto (who will be meeting in his usual day area during the party) as well as new outfits for Mickey and Minnie, and a tie-in dance party featuring the Disney Channel Descendants, it doesn't look like there will be much in the way of new characters at this year's party either. 

3. You may still get the chance to experience rides with a much lower wait time

Of course, it's not all bad news, as ride enthusiasts may still get a lot of value from Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Though there's no way to know for sure, the last few years of "sold out" party nights have felt less crowded than 2019 and before, which is great news for those who enjoy experiencing attractions with low wait times. Though it hasn't been confirmed yet, we'd assume Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be open during this year's party (hopefully with no virtual queue) which could potentially allow guests to experience the Magic Kingdom's newest ride with a much shorter wait. 

Ultimately, the decision of whether or not Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is "worth it" is up to the individual guest. Though this year's maximum ticket price is the same as last years' at $199, with a higher "low end" price point as well as more higher cost days throughout the calendar, it may be getting harder to justify the cost, especially with no major changes year to year.
